A New Home for Exteriors of Lansing
For quite some time, our owner, Tim Booth, has been on the hunt for a larger location to move our headquarters. We called our little office on Mount Hope Road home for over 15 years. It served us well as we navigated our early years as a company. As we continued to grow, our little office became smaller and smaller. We added new team members, which required more office space. Our warehouse sat conveniently across the road from us but even that grew harder to manage and maintain. So, when Tim discovered a building with ample space for us now and in the future, we had to jump on it.
Grand Ledge: A New Home for Exteriors of Lansing
In May 2021, we packed up our things and moved into our new office! We have a large warehouse directly connected to our office, making it incredibly easy for our staff to access equipment, building supplies, and materials. We can also keep our supplies and materials more organized and better stocked with the extra space.
Inside our office, our sales team has dedicated office spaces – creating a space for them to quietly focus on customer projects and build estimates for our customers. We also have open cubicles for our team members to work collaboratively on customer projects. And who does not love a giant whiteboard? Our four giant whiteboards are not for playing endless games of hangman but, our team can track customer projects and orders. Our team is always on the go so this space also gives them the ability to have a drop-in desk when they need it.
We cannot forget about the most important space of the new office: the breakroom! Our team works incredibly hard. The busy season keeps them on the go and sometimes working long hours to serve our customers. We believe that taking a break is just as important as putting in the hard work. Together, our team can enjoy lunches together around our dining table. We are a family-focused and family-owned company. You better believe we enjoy some Cugino’s pizza from time to time!
Growing Exteriors of Lansing
A big part of our office move was to gain space which allows us to expand our services. As we expand our services, we need more team members. Quite often in the residential construction industry, companies like us have a challenging time finding employees and/or crews that we can count on year after year. For many years, we faced the same struggles as others in our industry. But this new office turns over a leaf for us.
Our focus will always be on our people and our customers. For us to provide the best home improvement and residential construction services to the Greater Lansing communities, we need to have team members who are passionate about the work and dedicated to working for Exteriors of Lansing. We have been incredibly fortunate to work with a roofing crew that is fast, efficient, and has exceptional work ethics. Our staffing needs lie with siding and window installers.
Hiring Siding Installers and Window Installers
As a siding or window installer, we make the job simple for you. When a customer calls in need of new siding or new windows for your home, our sales team will provide them with an estimate. Once the estimate is accepted by the customer, our project manager orders the materials needed, coordinates with customers, and has all the materials delivered to the location. Our project manager will also coordinate with our installation team, so they are prepared for the project.
Come install day, all our installers need to do is show up! You will already be prepared for the project and the customer will be expecting you. To make this process as seamless as possible, we are looking for applicants for these positions to have previous experience in installing windows and siding. With our industry being in high demand we need experienced installers who can join the team and jump right in!
We are looking for hourly employees who want a career or sub-contracted crews that want a long-term partnership. We are no longer accepting one-time project employees or subcontracted crews or individuals. We are in it for the long haul, and we want people who will ride alongside us. We offer competitive pay, paid holidays, and benefits – and an occasional pizza party!
